  SOUTH MOUNTAIN PARK 

South Mountain is the world's largest desert municipal Park. Features include a seven-mile paved road to lookouts at 2,300 ft. and 2,600 ft. in elevation. There are 58 miles of trails for hiking, climbing, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Reservable ramadas are a great place for gatherings. The main ranger station was constructed with native stone in the early 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps.Open from 4:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.

TELEGRAPH PASS TRAIL (only a short drive from our condo)
Telegraph Pass Trailhead is located at Desert Foothills Parkway (north of Chandler Boulevard) and Sixth Street.

 The parking is on your right. The trailhead lot is open from 5 .m. to 7:30 p.m.
Length: 1.5 miles to Telegraph Pass. First 0.5 mile is paved.
Difficulty: Easy to moderate - steep sections toward the top.
